This is Your Daily Tarot Map for Wednesday January 20, 2016 – Using Tarot To Create the Life you want (transcript below).
Today, we continue our work with the Japaridze Tarot by Nino Japaridze.
So the three cards drawn randomly from the Japaridze Tarot today were: 2 of Tides, Queen of Tides, Six of Gardens
We have a lovely card to start out our day today, the Two of Tides. If you remember, the suit of Tides is the equivalent to the Cups. I love the image of the two wolves in this card. This is about love, harmony and partnerships. It’s about making powerful connections with people.
This could be at work, at home or even socially and is about enjoying all that life has to offer with others. If you’ve been thinking of asking out someone that you fancy or starting a partnership of any kind, today might be a good day to give it a go. At the very least, I see this card as advising that you get out socially and enjoy yourself. It’s easy to turn into a hermit during the winter months so we want to make sure that we connect with others as much as possible.
This idea of emotion and connection continues with our next card, the Queen of Tides. This is another card that points to intense, potent emotions and is about allowing yourself to be pulled towards others. This doesn’t necessarily have to do with romantic feelings, though it can. In this image, the water is pouring out of the Queen’s cup, perhaps signifying the importance of letting others know how you feel.
If you’ve been thinking of saying those three little words to someone, today might be a good day to do so. But this Queen is about letting everyone in your life know how important they are to you. Even your customers might like to hear how much you value their business.
Now our last card, the Six of Gardens, is about generosity of the spirit. In this image, a woman who is walking by is being offered a bouquet of flower by someone in the doorway. The giver of the flowers is hidden, all we see is his or her hand. This card is often about giving assistance and in this case, it might refer to anonymous assistance. Is there someone in your life who could use a helping hand? At the very least, the offering of flowers supports the idea of our last card of letting people know how much they mean to you. A bouquet of flowers never hurts.
It’s interesting to note that in the spread, the Queen of Tides is so focused on our last card that she’s inadvertently spilled the water from her cup. I see this as stressing the importance of the message here today – that make even the smallest of gestures today could mean the world to someone.
So the message today for these three cards is:
Sometimes even the smallest gesture can create the hugest difference in someone’s life. Today, let those around you know how much you care.
So today’s advice card comes from the Enchanted Map Oracle by Collette Baron-Reid and the card drawn randomly from the deck was: Stuck in the Mud
I like this card in light of today’s reading. We’re all so damned busy that we rush through life hardly noticing the people around us – hardly paying attention to the people who we claim mean so much to us. This card is a reminder to stop and observe. Are we ignoring the people in our life, perhaps taking them for granted? It’s been said that many of us really know just how much we care for someone only after they’re gone. Let’s not wait until they’re gone to tell them how much joy they bring to our lives. Let’s do it now. Let’s do it today.
That’s your Daily Tarot Map for today. Brightest Blessings!
