This is Your Daily Tarot Map for Tuesday, June 30, 2015 – Using Tarot to create the life you want.

This week, we continue working with The Robin Wood Tarot, created and illustrated by Robin Wood.

The three cards drawn today randomly from the deck were: King of Cups, Judgment, 7 of Cups

The three cards from the Robin Wood Tarot

The first card in our draw today is the King of Cups, a watery card of creativity, imagination and emotion. The King of Cups represents the abilty to control and reign in one’s emotions and as such, he may find himself repressing his desires – especially his creative ones – because of his sense of duty. Though he has responsibilities, he may wish that he were somewhere else or doing something else. I’ve noticed that in many decks, he almost appears as though he’s ready to dart right off his throne and run away. I get the same kind of feeling from this card, especially in light of how he appears to be staring longingly at the second card in our spread, Judgement.

I love this depiction of the Judgement card, in which the woman is reborn out of the cauldron’s fire along with The Phoenix. This is a card of awakening to a new phase in your life, a card of rebirth and renewal. The manner in which the King of Cups gazes at this card makes me think that deep down he yearns for a new life – yearns to reinvent himself. Maybe he’s even thinking about putting the past behind him and moving on to something new, something that will fulfill his long-held dreams. These thoughts may be on your mind today, as you contemplate your present life path.

The caution here, is not to mix up fantasy with reality, as hinted at by our last card, the 7 of Cups. This is a card of hopes and dreams. Sometimes it’s the fantasies in our head – fantasies about what we WANT our life to be like. It’s up to us to determine whether our dreams are feasible and more importantly, if we are up to pursuing them.

When this card appears in a reading however, it is often a nudge for us to take stock of where we are and lets us know that we’re at a turning point in our lives.

Perhaps we’ve changed, and like our King of Cups, realize that the choices we’ve made in the past are no longer fulfilling and we feel the itch to pursue different dreams. We may have to once again decide what we want out of life and if we’re willing to pursue it.

Now notice that the young woman in the card is contemplating all of the options before her. This is a card of contemplation so you’ll want to ensure that you’ve spent an adequate amount of time truly reflecting on where you want to go, where you want your life to go. It’s easy to get caught up on our dreams and having these dreams is what makes us human, what causes us to strive harder, to be better. We just be sure to follow up on those dreams with a decision: to be happy where you are or move to something else? That choice is only yours to make.

So the message for these three cards is:

“Dissatisfaction is a spark which often motivates us to make a change. But major change should only be initiated after careful reflection.”

Today’s advice comes from the Chronicles of Destiny Fortune Cards and the card drawn randomly from the deck is number 20: Warlock

Warlock card from the Chronicles of Destiny Fortune Cards

The Warlock card represents those obstacles or hindrances that block our path, that slow us down from reaching our goals. I’ve personally found that if something is worth pursuing, then there will no doubt be obstacles and challenges along the way. What’s important, is that we don’t abandon our quest because of them but instead, find a way to maneuver around them.

That’s your Daily Tarot Map for today. If you liked this video, I’d really appreciate if you could give it a like. Thanks!

Thank you for watching & brightest blessings!
