Using the Tarot for Creativity and Empowerment

Tarot Financial Abundance Experiment: Day 14

Deck: The Wizard’s Tarot
This post is part of my 45 Experiment:  Using the daily tarot draw to bring more financial abundance into our life. I will be using the Wizard’s Tarot by Corrine Kenner and John J. Bluemen for this experiment’s deck.

Day 14: What can I do to bring more financial abundance into my life?

3 of Cups

Three of Cups from the Wizards Tarot image

The 3 of Cups is about celebration and having fun!  Very often, we are so focused on our work that we forget to celebrate our accomplishments.  So make sure that you take time and enjoy the successes and milestones that you have enjoyed so far.  It’s important to also take time off to relax and recharge.  I have personally found that it is often during my down time that new ideas and insights hit me.  Recreation and fun can lead to creative energies in your work life, helping you to be more motivated and productive.  So do not neglect this very important part of your life – enjoyment and celebration.

Additionally, if you have been pondering over an annoying problem/issue or perhaps could use a little inspiration, taking a little break and enjoying yourself may help.  Be playful!  You never know what inspirations might come. Julia Cameron in her book “The Artist’s Way” talks about going on a weekly “artist’s date” – a way in which to feed one’s creative self.  This has worked really well for me over the years and has led to ideas that have in fact, increased the financial abundance in my life.

This card may also be providing a nudge for you to get out and attend fun and informative gatherings.  This often is an excellent way of networking and connecting with others.  You could perhaps attend local festivals, shows, theater productions, art exhibits, concerts or even take a class.  In addition to networking with others, it could also stimulate the creative side of you and generate some new ideas.

Fun, celebration & community – that’s what the 3 of Cups says to me this morning.  I have always been a strong believer that you should enjoy your work and that your work should be fun; if it’s not, perhaps it’s time to move onto something else.  This card made me think of ways to keep my Tarot readings fun and enjoyable for the client.  I find that when the client actually has fun during their reading, they tend to come back and/or tell others. They are also more inclined to follow the advice that the cards may suggest to aid them from moving past a difficult situation.

What also struck me is the celebrational aspect of this card.  It reminds us that we need to celebrate our small successes as well as the large ones (and this aids in the “having fun” idea mentioned above).  But this card often has to do with the community around us as well – and reminds us how important it is for us to engage in the larger community – to celebrate and connect (as well as network!) with like-minded people.  I feel that I may have been neglecting my community as of late so I’m looking forward to attending to Tarot Readers Studio 2014 in April to “recharge” my batteries.  Thus, today might be a good day to think about refreshing & renewing some of those ties.

It’s also important to include others in your celebrations.  This can be tied in with work, as well.  How about having a launch party when releasing a new project?  Give away prizes or other incentives.  Having drawings for a free version of your product or create a rewards program for your loyal customers.  Is there a place for celebrating your product or service in your larger community?  Can it be made part of local or even regional celebrations or events?  Can you set up a booth at a festival or offer to provide a presentation or workshop at an event?  This is an excellent way of creating a bond with your community.  Share the emotional rewards of your successes with your customers and the important people in your life.

On a more practical note, the Three of Cups falls in Mercury in Cancer on the Astrological wheel of the year. With Mercury being the god of speed and communication, the Internet is your oyster! How about a Web site that brings people together, such as a friend finder, a dating service or even a new social media platform? Mercury is about exchanging ideas so every a new site is a possibility. If you have technologically inclined, creating a tech blog can help you bring in additional income, especially if you sell some of your own products (e-books, e-classes, etc.) on your blog.

Mercury is also the god of commerce and exchange so the possibilities here are endless. When I thought of exchange however, it reminded me that many people have made a good deal of money busying & selling online – eBay, Craig’s List and the like. If you’re really ambitious, think about setting up your own auction site. With Cancer being the sign of home and family, any home-based business is a plus. The mothering aspect of Cancer makes me think of “birthing” new projects, products or businesses.

Keep in mind that one of the most important things while earning a living is the have fun!  If you love what you do and enjoy yourself while doing it, your life will be so much richer.
