Tarot Financial Abundance Experiment: Day 26

Deck: The Wizard’s Tarot
This post is part of my 45 Experiment:  Using the daily tarot draw to bring more financial abundance into our life. I will be using the Wizard’s Tarot by Corrine Kenner and John J. Bluemen for this experiment’s deck.

Day 26: What can I do to bring more financial abundance into my life?

Today’s card: The Hermit

Hermit card from the Wizards Tarot Image

The Hermit card suggests solitude and isolation, which can come in handy especially when trying to work through a problem or new idea.  Sometimes, we need to take a retreat or a break to refresh ourselves.  I often come back from retreats with a plethora of new ideas and fresh enthusiasm.  I also tend to find myself excited and passionate after taking a short break, and ready to get back to work. If you are working on a writing project for instance, taking a writing retreat could be just what will help your project along.

This retreat could also involve taking an extended training class, workshop or apprenticeship in order to learn a new skill.  I often see The Hermit as the wise mentor, someone who can offer us advice or point us in the right direction.  This can go hand in hand with an involved training program.

But if nothing else, this card suggests that you get away for a bit and refresh yourself.  Sometimes stepping outside of our everyday situation can provide a unique perspective enabling us to come up with new inspiration.  Speaking of inspiration, The Hermit might also advise us to look in unique places for ideas and inspiration – something out of the ordinary.  But what I see as important, is taking things slowly at this point, one step at a time.  Knowledge and inspiration often don’t reveal themselves quickly but require time to percolate so spend the necessary time.  Some things simply cannot be rushed – especially if learning a new skill is involved.  So take the time and learn it well.

As an action to be taken, The Hermit card can be advising us to spend some time searching – perhaps doing some research or engaging in further study.  If there is a project that you are thinking about this card encourages you to learn as much as you can before diving in.  The Hermit also may signify a need to spend some alone time to reevaluate your direction and priorities.

This might also be a good day to do some brainstorming to come up with new ideas for bringing in extra income. Are there any books relating to your craft or interest that you’ve been meaning to read? If so, take the Hermit’s advice and begin to read through them slowly. The slower and more time you spend with a book, the more you will learn and get out of it.

The Hermit is also about disconnecting oneself – withdrawal and seclusion.  During our workday, at times we may get distracted by the Internet.  To remedy this, we might wish to completely turn off my Internet connection any time you are writing or doing other computer-related work.  This can help you to become more productive, thus helping you to earn money sooner. You might be shocked to discover just how much time you spend online browsing websites and reading Facebook or Twitter updates.

So for me, today is a time for introspection, brainstorming, research, additional study and digital disconnection.  I think this will be a pretty darn good first step!
