Tarot Financial Abundance Experiment: Day 31

Deck: The Wizard’s Tarot
This post is part of my 45 Experiment:  Using the daily tarot draw to bring more financial abundance into our life. I will be using the Wizard’s Tarot by Corrine Kenner and John J. Bluemen for this experiment’s deck.

Day 31: What can I do to bring more financial abundance into my life?

King of Wands

King of Wands from the Wizards Tarot image

The King of Wands, associated with the astrological sign of Leo, is the lord of fire – he is an energetic achiever and is one who makes things happen.  He doesn’t sit around and wait for things to happen to him; rather, he assumes a “take charge” attitude and creates his own future.  He’s an ambitious, energetic and motivated leader – and that’s what the message of this card is about: being a motivated, energetic achiever while maintaining the ability to deal with situations without losing focus or becoming distracted.

In order to increase the amount of money coming into our life, we often need to take action ourself.  Instead of saying, “I’m not getting any business” we instead need to go out into the world and generate orders, drum up business, and shake things up. Wishing for something to happen rarely works.  The King of Wands urges us to be a decisive leader and take the lead ourself if we want to create a future that’s different from our present.  Waiting around never pays off.

So today is a day to take the bull by the horns and engage fully in the creation of abundance in our life.  It is up to use our own free will to make things happen.  I actually have a couple of ideas that I’ve been tossing around – so today, I’m going to use the bold, fearless energy of the King of Wands and pursue them.

Some ideas to get things moving for you:

  • Putting together an e-mail newsletter
  • Adding a form to your website to build up your mailing list
  • Writing up or creating a free promotional offering to help get the word out about your talents or skills
  • Picking up some books or CD’s on business or entrepreneurship
  • Subscribing to some podcasts relating to your industry
  • Establishing a presence on Facebook, Google +, Twitter or LinkedIn
  • Approaching other bloggers and ask them if you might write up a guest blog post.

Think about what can help increase your revenue or generate interest in your work and go out there and do it.

Whenever I turned over this card, immediately I sensed this card’s energy – the blazing fire, the almost glowing eyes of the king, the burning wand in his hand, his fiery red robes and the power of the full moon directly behind him.  The King of Wands can also represent entrepreneurship and approaching it not only with passion and excitement but also with strength. In this card, the king stands, burning wand in hand and oversees the fire.  This makes me think right away of the importance of overseeing one’s business activities and maintaining control. He also seems to be concentrating heavily on something, as if he’s using the fire before him and his own will to conjure up his desires. If we think about it, it is only by using our will that we achieve anything in life. It is our will – that burning desire in our soul – that sets us in motion (lights a fire under our ass, so to speak) to achieve our goals. So again, use your own willpower and energy to “conjure” up your goals. Use the power of the King of Wands to help motivate you to go out in the world and become a success.

So today is not a day for procrastination!  Try to make an extra effort to avoid distraction and instead, approach your work with enthusiasm and focus.  Being an entrepreneurship card, you might wish to sit down later to reevaluate your business (or your plans for a future business), to see where there is room for improvement and work on a plan for making changes.
