Deck: The Wizard’s Tarot
This post is part of my 45 Experiment: Using the daily tarot draw to bring more financial abundance into our life. I will be using the Wizard’s Tarot by Corrine Kenner and John J. Bluemen for this experiment’s deck.
Day 36: What can I do to bring more financial abundance into my life?
2 of Pentacles
This card depicts a young man juggling two coins. The Two of Coins represents balancing more or one thing – perhaps two jobs or night classes & a job. It points to the need for flexibility as well as maintaining multiple responsibilities. Taking our experiment into consideration, it may suggest that you need to take on some extra training or even a course of study all while maintaining your current employment. Often, people pursue new interests or new training – or even that which they truly love – while keeping their “day job” – at least for awhile. If you have your eye on another career path, this card advises you to go for it but not to quit your full time job quite yet.
This card also made me think of balancing time. We can often become more productive by applying some time management to our workflow. Think about using Time Management or Project Management software such as Microsoft Project (Windows) or Omnifocus (Mac). It may also suggest that you need to invest money into your business in order to make money. What areas of your business can a bit of cash infusion help improve? For instance, instead of doing all of your accounting yourself, consider outsourcing it or using an online program such as Quickbooks Online. This could free up some valuable time to work on your products.
Looking at this card, I thought of the term “multi-tasking”. Typically, I am not a big fan of multi-tasking but at times, it is necessary to take on multiple projects or be responsible for more than one area. If you are just starting a new business, you may not be in the financial position just yet to hire an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, accountant, Web designer, and marketer. Thus, you may have to take on these tasks yourself, at least initially. When we just start out in a new business, we often have to wear many hats. But just as the juggler is doing, we have to look forward and go with the flow. This card might also point to taking on one or more side businesses. Instead on relying on one main source of income, many people build multiple income streams for themselves, doing work they enjoy.
Personally, this card makes a lot of sense to be as I had been looking at adding something new to my current business – getting into a new area, something a tad outside of my comfort zone. So I think that I shall proceed forward with it and begin the process today. How about you?
